The Brandice Drop-In Center is operated by Embracing Freedom to serve commercially sexually exploited youth (CSEY) and youth at high risk of trafficking in Southeast Texas.
When a youth is identified or recovered and cannot safely return home and no immediate placement is available, the Drop-In Center provides short-term, supervised stabilization. During this time, youth are provided a safe environment and basic necessities while staff coordinate with child welfare, law enforcement, and community partners to secure an appropriate long-term placement.
Youth served through the Drop-In Center are enrolled in Embracing Freedom’s services and remain connected for ongoing advocacy, support, and engagement until they graduate out of services. Even after transitioning to a longer-term placement, Embracing Freedom continues to maintain consistent contact through scheduled visits and ongoing support.
The Brandice Drop-In Center fills a critical gap in the regional response by ensuring youth safety during periods of transition and strengthening continuity of care within Embracing Freedom’s continuum of services
